The Story of Baba Kone

Baba Kone world musician

Baba Kone is born in Burkina Faso , in the main capital Ouagadougo

He belong to the tripe Griot , it means he comes from musician family.

His father Bakary Kone thought him from very small 7 year to be a musician,

and as the well know saying says,

Practice makes you a master .

His father tought him very well how to play and build the african instruments

Djembe , Balafon, Kora and Doun , this was the living of the family and this should be the living for Babas Future, as the first born out of 4 siblings , he would be in charge of the familys future , and resonsibility to make the family survive .

When Baba whas smaller he travelled a lot with his father around the world and supported him on his jobs.

He got use to the European lifestyle and met a lot of european who visited in their home in Burkina Faso, and he learned how the musiclife and industry was.

His Father tought him very well, and already when Baba was 13 yers old his karrierer startet, he got a job in the Ballet Nationale in France with his father, and became there master drummer for 2 years

When Baba became 18 he formed his own award winning group Yerelon with local musicians.

Att 19 year old he got a contract with a ballet National in UK and travelled alone to a country where he didnt even understood the langues., but he succeeded very well , because of his skilss and good mentality.

Baba stayed in London for 10 yeras and it leaded him to travel with his own group Jelly Masa, who lead them to travel to alot of festivals,and theatres .

A part that he worked for many years with Drum Cafe , that he he helped to build up from scratch. which is now world wide in 28 countries.

It also leaded him to work with bigger names as Elton John, Stewie Wonder, Peter Gabriel

The last 10 year Baba have come in and out of Denmark where he have played with African Footprint , guest teacher in different schoolls and had a lot of workshops all around., wich also leaded to his meeting with his wife..

Today Baba lives in Germany with his Danish wife and 3 Kids and do a lot of different worldwide activities with his truop

Baba Kone worldmusic wich is a blend of booth african and western musician including his soons. Souleymane, Faycal and Razack that also is marvelous musician.

We have the marvelous show "( Feeling of Africa ) that combiens all the culture roots of music dance customes impression from Africa

Then we have his interesting and interacting Teambulding shows for Companys , Partys , birthday etc.

When your hear the skills of a master you know how it sounds. , when you combine it with incredible instruments from the land where music came from you have a unique sound you never forget .
